Welcome to Olde Lane Orchard!

Since 2002, Olde Lane Orchard has aimed to provide customers around the greater Northern Daviess Co. area with the same high-quality produce we have come to love in our home. Years of experience have taught us that hard work and farming go hand in hand, but producing delicious food and satisfying our customers make it a pleasure. Our farm revolves around family, and for us, farming is more than a business. It is a way for our family to learn, bond and grow together, all the while serving the community.

We have a wide variety of fruits, vegetables and other plants throughout the growing season that will make any homemade dishes the best they can be. Acres of vegetables keep your shelves stocked with healthy food, and our harvest of mouthwatering peaches, plums, apples, and pears allow for decadent recipes. We learn more and improve our techniques every year, from pruning to integrated pest management. We are passionate about what we do and eager to bring our food to your table. Visitors are always welcome to call ahead and schedule a farm tour.

How We Grow

We use an integrated pest management system which targets pests at their peak movements. We grow many of our vegetables without the use of synthetic pesticides.

What We Offer

  • Apples

Peaches

Peach season typically runs from July 1-September 10. These peaches always taste fantastic because of the long months of labor and waiting for the hard green to turn to a blushed red. We offer 48 varieties to our customers.

Customer peach favorites: Risingstar, Redhaven (all of the Havens are great for freezing), Saturn (white donut), Starfire, Cresthaven, Encore, Flameprince.

Apples

Depending on the variety of the harvest, apple season runs from July 1 to November 10. With their many health benefits, apples are a perfect snack for the family. Our 30 varieties of apples are crisp, fresh and delicious.

Customer apple favorites: Earligold, Redfree, Honeycrisp, Gala, Jonathan, Stayman Winesap, Golden Delicious, Jonagold, Crispin, Braeburn, Arkansas Black, Red Winesap, Blushing Gold, Fuji, and Gold Rush.

Jams & Jellies

Our jams and jellies are available year-round and come in a wide selection of flavors: peach, peach mint, pear, plum, peach plum, pear plum, and apple butter. Slathered on bread, crackers or cheese, our jams are the perfect addition to any meal.

Other Produce

Lettuce/Greens, Tomatoes, Green Beans, Rhubarb, Blueberries, Potatoes and Broccoli are also staples at our farm.

Plants

Our fresh flowers, bedding plants and herbs will brighten your home and add flavor to any of your home-cooked meals.

Family

Chester and Janice Lehman own and operate Olde Lane Orchard, along with their children and sometimes friendly "add-ons". The children are involved in nearly every aspect of production. In return, they receive limitless opportunities for character building and memories together, as well as a strong work ethic which blesses them for a lifetime. When free from schoolwork and chores, they can often be seen roaming the woods and fields, building forts and catching crayfish in Grandma's creek.

History

Our orchard is a continuation of an orchard business that started in the 1940s. Since purchasing the orchard in 2002, we have planted a considerable number of new trees, as well as expanded and improved the produce available. Today, we continue to add acreage in small increments to maintain the quality of the family business.

Testimonials

“I have enjoyed eating the Lehman family's produce for about ten years; it is beautiful, delicious, and grown with love. You couldn't ask for a nicer family, or find tastier fruit in all of South Central Indiana!”
Amy Countryman

“You would be hard pressed to find more honest and hard-working folks than those who run Olde Lane Orchard. During my three seasons working for the Lehmans, they treated me more like family than an employee. This same mindset extends to their customers as well, many of whom have become part of the larger Olde Lane Orchard family.”
